Car Park Reminder
Car parking at school is very limited and the movement of cars on site can be a significant health and safety concern when we are over capacity. Therefore, we ask parents and carers to never drive onto the school site unless you are visiting school, do not use the school car park for picking up or dropping off. We would love to have the space and capacity to allow parents to safely drop off and pick up. However, the car park and site does not provide us with adequate space. Even when the car park is re-modelled, as we are currently waiting on the signing off of a planning application, the site will not have space to make this possible.
We therefore acknowledge that there are parking and drop off/pick up pressures in the local community. We politely ask you to please respect the road laws, double yellow lines, grass verges and neighbours driveways. We often get complaints from local residents and the local PCSOs are vigilant of any issues.
Bike Safety
All pupils must wear a bicycle helmet if they ride a bike to school. No pupils will be allowed to cycle to school and store their bicycle at school without wearing one. Please note, all bicycles are left in the bicycle store must be locked and are left at your own risk.

SEND Update
Access Arrangements – Important Information for KS4 Families
As we move through the KS4 curriculum, we are preparing evidence for students who may need access arrangements in their GCSEs and other public examinations.
What are access arrangements?
Access arrangements are adjustments (such as extra time, a reader, or a scribe) that help students with special educational needs or disabilities show what they know and can do in exams. They do not change the demands of the exam or give an unfair advantage.
Key points for families
- Access arrangements must reflect a student’s normal way of working in lessons, assessments, and mock exams.
- Evidence must come from both the school and a qualified specialist assessor, using recognised tests. Having SEND alone does not automatically qualify a student.
- For students with an EHCP, exam support is guided by the plan and reviewed by the SENCo.
Our external assessor will be in school in
Deadlines
- To meet JCQ regulations, our internal deadline is 1st November. By this date, we must have all evidence ready so applications can be processed in time.
- After the 1st November, new Year 11 requests cannot normally be considered, as they would not meet the “normal way of working” requirement.
Exceptions
If a medical issue arises (for example, a broken arm or new medical diagnosis), we can still apply for arrangements after this date. We will always support students in genuine emergencies.
Our commitment
We want every student to have a fair opportunity to succeed. We will work closely with families and students to ensure support is in place where it is needed and fully in line with national regulations.
Parent Governor Vacancy
We have a parent governor vacancy, if yo are interested in joining the team, please click the letter link below:
