Year 11 Update

We have one more week of planned intervention and it is crucial that pupils attend all that they can. In addition to the afterschool sessions there are small group working lunches happening in Business Studies, Computer Science and iMedia, these are on Student Notices each day.

The official exams have already started with the German Speaking exams last week and the Art, Textiles and Photography this week. Pupils have made a fabulous start to the exam series. As subjects are completed it is important that pupils become organised with their revision and attend those lessons ready to make a difference in the subjects where the assessments are still to come, this will become more important over the coming months.

Year 10 update

Many thanks to the parents who attended our Parents' Evening on Thursday. There were lots of excellent conversations which left staff and the parents feeling that pupils have made a good start to their GCSEs and with 1 year to go, that they are in a good place to move forward. Gradesheets were released on Arbor on Monday.

Year 8 update

Our Y8 Parents' Evening will take place on Thursday 30th April and appointments are able to be booked on Parents Booking (tab on Firefly), this is now live. Lots of staff have multiple classes across multiple subjects so early booking is recommended. If you have any problems with Parents' Evening then please contact tracey.hill@endon.set.org.

Year 8 Gradsheets will be issued on Tuesday, via Arbor.

Year 7 update

Our Y7 Parents' Evening will take place on Tuesday 6th May and will be an opportunity for parents and carers to meet the subject teachers. The appointments will go live at the end of next Monday and will be booked on line. More information to follow.

Year 7 Gradesheets will be issued on Wednesday, via Arbor.

Mental health support at EHS

Parents/ Carers please be mindful that we do have some capacity in school to assist with your Child's mental health but , as Parents/ Carers, there is also access to facilities outside of school which can assist too such as the GP, Action for Children and various websites too (leaflet attached). We have limited capacity in some of our provisions here at Endon so sometimes external support maybe the more efficient place to receive support, especially as we move towards this third term.

We strongly encourage students to attend the wellbeing drop in (8.00am every Tuesday in the MAP room) where they have access to two ELSA staff (also Mental health first aid trained) anyone can attend this any Tuesday. This is a drop in with no waiting list.

Pupils have had the option in the last few weeks to attend the Mindfulness drop in with a trained Mindfulness instructor , attend group session on anxiety run by NHS EMHP, attend Boxing sessions with an instructor and attend any wellbeing drop in. This are advertised numerous times on student notices and often on social media and bulletin.

The school nurse can see people and Parents can self refer and also attend appointments every Thursday online (more details can be found on the leaflet attached)

The ELSA programme is a formal programme of a set number of sessions with Mrs Dawson or Mrs Rowley. This does have a waiting list and any pupil on the waiting list is also offered the groups sessions in school and wellbeing drop in whilst they wait.

Thank you to the Parents / Carers who dropped in on the Mental Health coffee morning we had on Monday.

This concludes the 3 sessions we have had this year (one a term) of these drop in sessions to meet the mental health team and discuss any worries and concerns and seek additional support. We have now done the sessions Mornings, after school and an evening session. Next year we may roll out a teams session.

Thank you for your continued support this year, we are very proud of what we can offer at EHS and hope to continue this moving forward next year too.
