Curriculum Allocation for teaching Sept 2025 onwards

L4L is taught in one form time a week and using additional external agency sessions and assembly time as additional support.

It is also taught as a timetabled lesson of 50 minutes per fortnight.

Curriculum Period 1: 250 mins  5 x 50 mins Careers focus

lesson 1 - recap work experience- positive and negatives lessons learnt and looking at Post 16 options

Lesson 2: Exploring different jobs and pathways 

Lesson 3 how to write a CV  

Lesson 4: different types of jobs and roles  key words and skills 

Lesson 5 - Driving and jobs (including understanding the cost of a car)

Form time sessions include; how to come back after Covid and lockdown, how to connect in a relationship, resilience, revision techniques, self care strategies, different relationships inc LGBTQ recap
